![]() ![]() Technically you have a 4.6^-68% chance of doing 1046 damage in 1 turn against an undead that's not resistant or immune to neurotic damage. with the most liberal rules, you could double everything in the unlikely chance that you maxed out every die. You're also running super advantage (highest of 3 rolls) from elven accuracy, gritting on 19's and 20 AC (25 if you cast shield) because of your Draconic bloodline, combined with the fact that you can do this while holding a shield!!Īnd I didn't even factor in the 10% per hit chance of a crit to the max damage because not everyone calculates that the same. ![]() With smite stacking rules confirmed by Jeremy Crawford, and using your one level 7 spell slot to cast Shadow Blade you still have a level 6 slot, a level 5 slot, and two level 4 slots to do this: Potential Damage (you have super advantage due to the new feat): The main draw back is that the blade does not provide any stats enhancement, so depending on your armor and build-out, mathematically, there may be other blades that are better.Correct me if I'm wrong but if you're going to metagame, the potential for the new Shadow Blade spell is insane. The Shawdowblade does have the highest DPS of level 49 or lower swords or daggers (but some swords have higher damage limits), and the added shawdowbolt damage of 110 to 140 is a nice touch (think about this, the Firey Weapon enchant, which is very popular, only procs for 40 damage when it hits). So, aside from the prestige of having an Epic item early in your characters career, this blade is mainly a twink item. The only problem with this blade is that by the time your character can actually afford the item (legitimately) or you are a high enough level to engage mobs that "might" drop this item, your character more than likely has better weapons. I had a stroke of luck and found some guy selling it for only 10g (buyout), so I snapped it up and turned it for a nice profit (sold it for 130G, probably could have received more, but I was scrounging for Epic Mount, the average price on my realm is in the range for 130-160, some losers try to sell it for 180-200, but they ultimately drop the price after a few days, lol). even after several months of it happening :'(Ĭomment by AllakhazamFor an Epic item, this Blade is consistently in the Auction House. I had to watch in complete dismay as the corpse containing an epic dagger decayed right in front of me :/ I tried to invite nearby friends into my group to see if they could loot it. I tried to send a ticket (although I knew it would do no good). ![]() My heart sank when I realized the weapon was a unique and, since I already had previously purchased one a few weeks ago, I couldn't loot this Shadowblade. as I went to pick it up, I got an error saying I couldn't carry any more of those. I was solo and was in shock at my good fortune. A couple weeks later, when I was about lvl 55, I was grinding in the Blasted Lands for Runecloth when a mob dropped the Shadowblade. I was so happy to finally have this dagger :) The person selling it happened to be in IronForge at the time and I messaged him and negotiated it down to 105g. I spotted a Shadowblade on the AH for 115g and I had a little over 100g. I had a lvl 50 rogue on Arthas and was looking to upgrade my weapons. but for me, this was unfortunately one of the worst moments i've experienced in this game. To most people, it's an unbelievably lucky thing to happen outside of a high level instance. Comment by ThottbotOk, I think I have the best when it comes to the worst stories involving an epic drop.
